Fleet of UFO inspired food trailers that provide meals, food education and outdoor activities to children living below the poverty line. Works in association with local food businesses for a mutually beneficial system of contributing to the community and access to affordable food trailers.
Coming into this project I did a lot of research about the topic of food and the community. After going to a workshop by Dr Clare Pettinger about food poverty I chose to narrow my field down to ‘Holiday Hunger’ which is the problem whereby children who would be on free school meals during term time are unable to get access to regular nutritious meals during the holidays.
